These are the people of Synchresis Solutions. When you choose to engage with us, these are the passionate, skilled engineers and people who will drive the success of your endeavors.
Nick Giannak III
Nick Giannak III is one of our co-founding members. Nick is our Executive Business Officer, and shares the role of Chief Executive Officer.
Born in Suffolk County, New York, he graduated from Farmingdale State College in 2015 with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Technology and Society. This gives Nick a well-rounded education in the applications of various technological solutions and systems. He is also very adept at the human side of engineering.
Throughout his tenure in academia, Nick was tasked with running several volunteer projects that involved building online infrastructure. It was on one such project that Nick met our other cofounder, Quinn Ebert. Throughout 2020, they were challenged to design systems that solve problems born out of the changing online landscape. Those systems were the driving force that directly led to the formation of Synchresis Solutions.
Nick, as an avid audiophile, enjoys working with studio-based equipment and is Synchresis’ in-house audio engineer and voice artist.
Nick is a pioneer in managing a designed workflow that allows two people to host a radio show, in two separate places, at a quality that exceeds commercial broadcast stations. What is special about these attributes you may ask; it is the ability to operate these solutions only using off the shelf hardware and freely available software.
When not focused on topics technological - a rare thing - Nick enjoys watching all four major American sports plus Pro Wrestling, listening to Heavy Metal music, playing with model trains, and eating a good cheeseburger.
Although very capable of doing so, don’t ask Nick to troubleshoot your printer, he passionately despises the task. If you see him at a Long Island restaurant mock drafting an all-time NHL team against his buddies, come say Hello!

David Quinn Ebert

Quinn has extensive experience in telephony and server systems. (Linux, Windows, and UNIX derivatives). Quinn has 15+ years of experience in managing datacenter, corporate IT environments, and hosting operations.
In early 2022, Quinn moved with his partner Kelly to Harlan, Kentucky to focus on building Synchresis Solutions.
When not focusing on Synchresis, Quinn enjoys working on a long-running game development project in Unreal Engine. He also enjoys collecting classic video games from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s, and has a passion for aviation/military simulation.
Quinn enjoys spending time with his dog Falkor, a Siberian Husky, and Kelly’s cat, Jeremy.
Quinn has a high work ethic and views customer service as paramount. He believes that direct interaction with the customer is vital to operational success.
Quinn’s mantra might sound familiar as it was proposed by Mark Zuckerberg:
"Move fast and break things." After all, without some disruption, rarely is substantial, rapid progress ever made.

Kelly Douglas Michaels
Kelly Douglas "K.D." Michaels is our Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
Kelly was born in Burke County, North Carolina in 1983.
Kelly has extensive experience in civil engineering, to include a Bachelor of Science (with concentrations in structural engineering, and psychology) from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University.
As a 25+ year veteran of the Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services, Kelly is quite fluent in crisis mitigation.
In early 2022, Kelly retired from professional firefighting and moved to Harlan, Kentucky along with his partner, Quinn. In late 2022, Kelly began working as a contract medical officer with US Customs and Border Protection in Arizona. After the completion of that 9 month deployment with US Customs and Border Protection, Kelly has returned home. He now serves the City of Harlan and City of Loyall Fire Department as a firefighter/EMT and as the department Chaplain for both.
When not enthralled with company business, Kelly enjoys watching baseball, (he is a huge Boston Red Sox fan) walking with Quinn and his dog Falkor, and volunteering with both City of Harlan and City of Loyall Fire Departments.
Kelly may not be at the forefront of our customer service staff. However, like all of the executive team, he is ready and willing to go the distance for YOU, the customer.

Stephen J. Watson
Stephen Joseph Watson is a valued member of our team. Stephen is one of our installation engineers. Stephen is a self-taught locksmith and enjoys the physical aspect of installation engineering.
Born in Morganton, North Carolina in 1983, Stephen, like most of us, grew up in the age of the ever growing computer revolution.
Stephen has been one of very few people that Kelly calls a best friend. Having met Kelly on the first day of kindergarten, Kelly and Stephen have been best friends ever since.
When Kelly and Quinn moved to Kentucky, Stephen stayed back in Morganton. After a late night conversation with Kelly, Stephen decided to take a leap of faith, and move to Kentucky. Since the move, Stephen has found a better way of life and a far less stressful environment.
Stephen is a member of the City of Loyall Fire Department and the City of Harlan Fire Department, and when not working with Synchresis enjoys hobbies that include locksport, advanced knot tying, high security lock/key development, and working on designs for websites.
Stephen isn’t just a volunteer with the fire departments, he also volunteers to deliver food and water to folks in need, especially during severe inclement weather.
On a funny note, Stephen may not drive, however Stephen is one amazing co-pilot. Over the years of adventures Kelly has decided to endeavor in, Stephen has always been there to navigate and provide humor while on the road. Kelly hates flying and will avoid it at all costs, therefore having a co-pilot is super important.
